When do you think your present 'you' started?
Let me elaborate. I'm not looking for your birthday, or when your physical or conscious entity came into existence, but when you felt that your current "I" or "me" became what it is. When looking back into your own history, when do you stop relating that person to be yourself and start relating that person to your kid self or your high school self. Is there such a distinction?
You could say that one changes every moment, and that each day is a new experience that no matter how insignificant, still nonetheless becomes a part of you. But I'm not looking at the mini changes. Don't take into account the mini extensions or upgrades that take you from John 1.0 to John 1.1, what I'm asking is when you last upgraded from John 1.x to John 2.0? When did your core essence last undergo a major rewrite?
Some people say university, coinciding with the must embraced opportunity to reinvent yourself. Others say they've been themselves since high school. Some say primary school. Some say after their last relationship. Some say when they got together with their partner. What do you think?
